Vilmarie Báez, PsyD, is a graduate of Mercer Universities College of Health Professions. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Texas Tech Health Sciences in El Paso, Texas and her post-doctoral residency at the VA Pacific Islands Healthcare System. She is an associate professor at the Hawaii School of Professional Psychology (HSPP) at Chaminade University of Honolulu. At HSPP, Dr. Báez teaches various courses (to include clinical supervision, health psychology, group psychotherapy, human sexuality, and many more), advises students, chairs dissertation committees, and leads the Student Professional Development Committee. Dr. Báez is passionate about training students and helping collaborate with other psychologists and educators involved with student trainees. Dr. Báez is also a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Collaborative Health Promotion (CHP), LLC. CHP is a private practice with a focus on treating individuals presenting with health-related concerns including, but not limited to, sleep disturbances, pain management, and chronic illness management.
